Your Character and You
To us, your main character is the one that takes priority over all of your characters across all servers and factions. This character is the first one you reach for when you play WoW, the one you like most, and the one you will play the most.
- What is your main character?
Spinalcrack- What is your main's class?
Priest- What is your main's primary role (Melee DPS, Ranged DPS, Tank, Healer)?
Ranged DPS- If you are still leveling, have you read the post on Assistance for Leveling Guildies?
N/A- How many hours per week do you typically play on your main character?
20-30- Are you 18-years of age or older?*
Unfortunately* - exceptions can be made, especially with recommendations from active Praetorians.
Your Goals
Every guild is different. If a guild does not support your in-game goals, then it is probably a bad match.
- What are your goals in Warcraft?
To enjoy all the content with people I consider friends, and be a key contributor to the success and progression of my guild.- How did you hear about Grim Legion?
I have been friends with Sista since BC days- Why have you chosen to apply to Grim Legion?
I have run with you many times and have always enjoyed my time in your raids. I feel you have a strong family of members, organized by strong leaders, which will always result in success and fun. My personal schedule has evened out, and appears it will remain that way. Plus Aspirin wont leave me alone. Whine whine whine, nag nag nag
Schedule
Our guild "prime time" is 7:45 PM to 11 PM server (central). We typically raid three nights a week, take two nights off, and spend the other two nights doing everything else. Our specific current schedule can always be found on our Recruitment FAQ.
- What is your local time zone?
Eastern Standard Time- Do you have any conflicts with a 7:45 PM to 11 PM schedule?
NoParticipation
Most of our guild events require at least 25 geared and skilled people. As such, your willingness to regularly participate enough to support your fellow guildies properly is important. This is one of those areas that is confusing for many people in that we are not so casual that any participation level is acceptable nor are we so hardcore that we expect you here every night. Our participation requirement is reproduced below for your convenience:
In a typical week, a guild member would be expected to participate in a *minimum* of three guild nights, including at least one night's worth of non-Raid guild events and at least two nights of raiding. We want to ensure that our members get the support they need to see the end-game content as well as prepare for the harder stuff, such as raiding. When we do raid, we want our Raids to be fun and successful. Ideally, a member would participate more than the minimum on a regular basis, preferably 4 nights a week on average.
Raid Night Commitment
We currently raid 7:45 PM to 11 PM (CST; Kirin Tor server time) on Tue, Wed, and Sunday.
- Do you have any conflicts with the above raid days and times?
No- Which of those days can you regularly raid?
All of themNon-Raid Night Commitment
We ask folks to show up to one non-raid event each week. Currently, those are 7:45 PM to 11 PM on Monday and Friday.
- Do you have any conflicts with the above non-raid days and times?
NoGuild Rules
We enforce our policies. We ask every applicant to fully review our posted policies to help ensure that this is the right guild for them. When folks join a guild and then are shocked by policies they can't tolerate, it's an unfortunate waste of time for everyone.
- Have you read the complete Articles of War?
Yes- What is your most favorite Article of War?
Mission and values- What is your least favorite Article of War?
Guild Membership - cause it talks about leaving
awwww yeah, that's 10 suck up points right thar!- Have you read our Recruitment FAQ?
Yes- For us, Conduct is King. Have you read, and do you completely agree with, our Code of Conduct?
YesExpectations
To help you better understand what is required before you will be fully raid-qualified, please review our Becoming a Whelp: A Guide for Initiates , which describes the Initiation process, and our Becoming a Praetorian - A Guide for Legionnaires Guide, which spells out the steps to becoming raid-qualified. Note: If you are already geared up for raiding, you can complete these steps simultaneously.
Note: Praetorian rank is a priority on raiding slots. Lower-ranked guild members may be brought into a raid to fill empty slots after all Praetorians have been given an opportunity, at the raid leader's discretion (in consultation with the officers), provided it will not compromise the success of the raid.
World of Warcraft PvE Progression
Your PvE experience will not affect your chances of being accepted, but understanding your PvE experience helps us understand how much guidance and/or mentoring you might need. This helps guide our efforts to insure our guildies get the support they need.
- What is the average Item Level of the gear for your main role?
251 -264 in most slots- What percentage of the Regular Northrend Dungeons have you cleared?
100%- What percentage of the Heroic Northrend Dungeons have you cleared?
100%- What 10-man Northrend Raids have you cleared?
All of them on normal mode, and good parts of them on hardmode- What 25-man Northrend Raids have you cleared?
Naxx, Ony, ToC, OS, EoE, VoA, most of Uld (I think I have been to every boss, just not all on my priest), First wing of ICC and almost all of the second wingWorld of Warcraft PvP Experience
We are an end-game guild, and that does include PvP. We also have found that PvP builds valuable reflexes that dramatically improve raid survival and thus effectiveness, since we all know how much DPS, HPS, and TPS one does when they are dead - zero.
- How many honorable kills do you have?
Because I cancelled my account for a while near the end of BC, that info was reset... since I have been back about 5000 approx. but I rarely pvp- What is your experience with the various Battlegrounds?
Have done them all, but rarely pvp on my own. To join in with a guild run would appeal to me more though- Have you participated on any Arena Teams, and if so, what was your teams highest ranking?
I did in BC days... if you take terrible, and back it off a couple notches... that's just slightly higher than how my team was ranked- What is your interest in city raids?
All for it as a guild. Always fun. To pug it, I can do without.Server History
Now it's time to find out a bit about your characters and what brought you here.
- Is your main currently a character on Kirin Tor?
Yes- How many characters do you have on other servers?
2 that I have only logged in when KT was down. I do not play them or intend to level them.- How many characters do you have in the Alliance faction on Kirin Tor and to what guilds do they belong?
That's disgusting- If you are a Death Knight, who was your first main character, why did you switch to a Death Knight, and what is the current status of your former main?
N/A- Were you in any other guilds prior to applying to this guild (on either the Kirin Tor or on other servers)? If yes, please list which guilds.
Bloodfury - Raid Officer, Chapter Seven - GM, Tabula Rasa - not a serious guild, just a chat channel- If so, what were your reasons for leaving?
Bloodfury has a lot of internal issues that eventually conflicted with my enjoyment of the game. I still consider them my friends, and I am very appreciative for them introducing me to the game. C7, near the end of BC voted as a guild to server transfer. I was semi-burntout (we raided 6 days a week, sometimes multiple full clear kara runs on a single day etc), and didn't really wish to leave KT, so decided I would take a break. The guild reformed on another server.- Do you have any friends in Grim Legion?
I consider everyone in GL a friend to one degree or another, but I have known Sista since BC, Aspirin and I go way back and are close, Ahder I have known since Bloodfury and raided with for a long time, I felt a shadow priest bond and respect with Zolta since I have been tagging along in WoTLk, I can really give examples for most of your current raiding roster. edited: Typo'd Zolta's name. no disrespect Zolta
I am just mentally challenged.- Do you have any friends you would bring with you to Grim Legion (please note that each friend needs to fill out an application as well)?
Not at this time, but I do know a lot of people on the server, so that could change.Required Utilities & Capabilities
